In one of the tests (Linpack), the Nexus One has an unfair advantage over the Evo 4G and Motorola Droid X because Google’s machine is running Android 2.2, which we all know is a performance whore. Anyway, check the 720p embedded clip to see the three phones stressed, and why the Droid X is supreme.

The Droid X, with its Texas Instruments OMAP3630 1GHz processor and dedicated PowerVR graphics, tramples the Nexus One and Evo 4G in 3D rendering smoothness. Neither the Nexus One (11.3 FPS) using FroYo nor the Evo (10.3 FPS) can come close to the 22.9 FPS achieved by the Droid X on the NenaMark1 benchmark. Once the Droid X gets FroYo (August?), it will be neck and neck with the Samsung Galaxy S (T-Mobile Vibrant, AT&T Captivate) for pure Android power.
