A “tried-and-true tipster” is spilling the details regarding Sprint’s second WiMAX 4G Android smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Pro S. Most of the specs are in line with what we are expecting, but the SIM card slot is a pleasant bonus that might not make it into production.

Nevertheless, Android Central’s impressions are appreciated.

- Thicker but smaller than the Evo 4G
- Keypad is firm with solid feeling slider mechanism
- Enclosure seems too plasticky but could be a symptom of early prototype
- Has the 1Ghz Samsung “Hummingbird”
- Although the Super-AMOLED screen also feels plasticky, its colors and images are superb; size is probably around 4-inches
- 8Gb storage, 512Mb RAM, Wireless N
- 5-megapixel camera with 720p recording, front-facing VGA webcam
- Other radios: EVDO Rev. A./Wimax. Additional SIM card slot
- H.264 and Divx work
- “Sprint TV worked fine over 4G, 3G and Wifi,” which the Evo does not support
