Do you recall the iPed that stole some attention during Apple’s Chinese iPad launch? That iPed is a bottom rung slate with a 7″ touchscreen and a slow processor. The Orphan M16 has a 10.2-inch (1024×600) display, Android 2.1, and a fast 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 CPU, and it is obtainable for $290 USD.
I wish the resolution were higher, but at $290, the iPed/aPad, on paper, is difficult to fault. Orphan’s tablet can also be configured with Windows CE, but no one wants that. Pre-order yours with free shipping for the June 29th release.
