The Motorola Droid X has been given a thorough hands-on tour, and the Android 2.1 smartphone features a special and new type of Motoblur GUI. Contrary to the misleading commercial slides leak wording, the Droid X does not have a 720p or a 720 PPI screen; regardless, the 4.4-Inch (854×480 same as the Droid) display appears to be stunning. On June 23rd, Verizon, Google, and Adobe are hosting an event in New York to unleash “the next generation of Droid.” One can presume that the Droid X, along with Flash 10.1 will be showcased.

Like usual, Engadget was the blog granted access to the Droid X, which is noted as being very fast (perhaps quicker than the HTC Evo 4G) with its unnamed 1GHz processor. Also, the Droid X has Swype, and its 8-megapixel camera shoots 720p film and apparently does an above average job.
