Motorola has experienced tremendous success and buzz about its Droid/Milestone, whose fantastic, high-resolution LCD, full QWERTY keypad, and fast processor are well beloved. The company’s sequel looks to out-do the progenitor by bumping up the speed with an OMAP 750MHz processor and 8Gb internal storage.
Droid Life, as awesome as the blog is for leaking info, desperately needs to invest in better cameras! The Droid 2 receives a fully redesigned keypad (without the D-pad), but there is no front-facing camera or HDMI, and it is likely to ship with Android Eclair only. The Droid Xtreme has an 8-megapixel camera and HDMI but no keypad. Both might launch on the same day in Q3. Pick your poison.

-Android 2.1 (unless Verizon pumps out a last minute 2.2 update to it)
-3.7″ screen
-750MHz OMAP processor
-Wi-Fi tethering
-8GB internal
-8GB SD card preinstalled
-Updated keyboard
-5MP camera
-New version of Motoblur
