Samsung has sent out invitations to a June 29th event that stars the Galaxy S super-smartphone with Android 2.1, Samsung’s own 1GHz processor, and a 4-inch Super-AMOLED display.

T-Mobile is the likeliest destination for the Galaxy S, which sports a custom PowerVR SGX540 graphics chip and will be the most powerful smartphone in North America. Based on T-Mobile’s recent pricing schemes, I fear the worst for the Galaxy’s MSRP.

- 4.1″ Super-AMOLED 800×480
- 1GHz ARM Cortex-8
- PowerVR SGX540 graphics
- 8Gb ROM, How much RAM?
- 3G, Wireless N, Bluetooth, aGPS
- Front-facing camera, 5 Megapixel back camera
- 1500 mAh Battery, 6.5 Hrs. Talk, 350 Hrs. Standby
- 122.4 x 64.2 x 9.9 mm @ 118 grams.
