These days, unofficial Android ROMs are all the rage with smartphone geeks. Acer’s Liquid gets the latest Android 2.2 FroYo ROM, but it is buggy.

Tethering and GPS do not work; “black/white lines appear…randomly,” and 3G/USB are not functional on Eclair equipped Acer Liquids, so the newly released Rogers version is out of the equation. I am grabbing a Liquid E in a few days and will skip this wonky FroYo ROM until it is proper. Eclair suits me just fine.
