Dell Streak Android Smartphone Rooted

Just out in the UK via O2, the Dell Streak was rooted yesterday.

Paul O’Brien at MoDaCo has accomplished the feat on the £429 5-inch smartphone. Americans can get theirs in mid-late July for a very modest $500 unlocked directly from Dell. The Streak’s titanic sized screen sets a new standard for smartphones. In fact, many publications prefer to call the Streak an “MID,” and Dell promotes it as something “more” than just a phone. I still think of it as an oversized smartphone because after all, it does make calls.
