It looks like an Apple iPad but is a less than half the price and probably half as useful. Watch the aPad - not to be confused with the iPed that has been receiving plenty of press in Asia - a 7-inch Android 1.5 tablet with wireless and GPS in action to determine if it is worth your hundred bucks.

The aPad’s processor is a budget RockChip clocked at 600MHz, which slowly wades through Android 1.5 menus. The 7″ WVGA (800×480) resistive touchscreen has the same number of pixels as higher-end smartphones like the Droid Incredible. Unlike the iPad, the iPed’s 2Gb internal memory can be expanded to 16Gb via its micro-SD slot. Strangely enough, there may be 1Gb of RAM (which neither Android 1.5 nor the RockChip CPU can take advantage of) inside the inexpensive slate.
