Google’s open source Android is delightful, but do you know what is even better? How about Aoson’s M500 tablet, which can run 8 operating systems without any hassle? The M500 can natively, without hacking run Android, “Windows 98, 2000, 2003, XP, Vista, Windows 7, Mac 9.1 and Linux 2.4.” My math informs me that I have counted to 9.

It is too bad that the Marvell PXA 303-624MHz processor is too underpowered to be effective with any of the Windows operating systems (particularly Vista), and that Mac 9.1 and Linux 2.4 are gross in this day and age. Besides, since the slate has 256Mb storage, not even Windows ‘98 will fit internally, and SD-cards are way too slow as an OS drive. Still, I give props to Aoson for trying something different, and for $265, it could be a passable Android MID.
