The good news is that Adobe Flash 10.1 beta is ready to download over-the-air for Android 2.2 FroYo phones, but the catch is that no smartphone runs 2.2 yet, and that Eclair and older Android builds no longer support 10.1!
The brand new HTC Droid Incredible and the soon to be released Evo 4G cannot use Flash 10.1 until they are updated to FroYo, and who knows how long customers will have to bide their time. I wonder what will happen to Japan’s best selling Android smartphone, the Sony Xperia X10, when it gets Android 2.1 late this year and will not even run Flash! Maybe Sony will skip straight to 2.2.
