The LG Ally for Verizon turned out not to be the “Aloha” after all, so let everyone move onto the next piece of gossip: just approved by the FCC, the LG LG-C710h might be the “Aloha,” aka LU2300 that many are lusting after, but it is not CDMA Verizon bound like previously speculated; instead, the LG-C710h filing has AT&T GSM/WCDMA 3G bands 1900/850.
The FCC filing has given new life to Aloha speculation. Unlike the Ally, which is an entry-level phone and is the only 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7627 to have an 800×480 screen, the LU2300 is the best that LG manufactures; however, the device launched in South Korea with Android 1.6 and will be upgraded to 2.1 in August, by which time, Android 2.2 Froyo should be available.
