Meizu M9: Android 2.1 and 1GHz Processor

Hopeful for an August 18th release (do not hold your breath) nigh $350 is Meizu’s 3.6″ M9, touting to have a 1GHz Samsung C110 processor based on the ARM Cortex-A8. The C110 has the fastest 3D performance of any ARM CPU currently available.

Like the MBook iPad wannabe tablet from Meizu, the M9 is shown in only rendered form and also boasts about surpassing the competition in hardware prowess. Samsung’s C110 is capable of decoding 1080p video, so the M9 naturally includes HDMI 1.3 compliant output.
