Garmin is renown for GPS and navigational equipment, but its smartphones like the Nuviphones have been underwhelming. The Asus built Garminfone is a T-Mobile Android 1.6 smartphone with basic hardware and an emphasis on GPS usage (notice the dashboard mount).

The Garminfone does not exactly enthrall me, mainly due to its aged Android 1.6, but Garmin’s GPS software could be what “makes” it.
