Motorola’s squared Android 2.1 smartphone surfaced over the weekend on Droid Dog. Today, Android France claims to have leaked documents naming the mysterious Motorola as the “Twist,” which is scheduled for a June 10th launch.

Supposedly, the Twist is GSM and features ordinary specifications, save for the OMAP3410 700MHz processor with an ARM Cortex-A8 core. This makes no sense to me. Why would Motorola put a performance processor in a sub-compact smartphone with a 320×240 screen?
The Twist reminds me of Microsoft’s new KIN ONE but with a side of ugly on top.
