Rumor Mill: HTC myTouch Slide Confirmed

Getting sick of these sketchy screen grabs? Appearing on Radio Shack’s Wireless Direct2U’s database, bearing SKU 1705596, is the previously leaked HTC myTouch Slide (successor to the G1, aka Dream).


In January, two sharp photos of the nondescript looking myTouch Slide surfaced. According to the leak, the myTouch Slide is the G1’s replacement and possesses comparable specs, so a 600MHz Qualcomm, a higher-resolution camera, and Android 2.1 are the main upgrades over T-Mobile’s lower-tier smartphone. It seems that many carriers may release version 2 of their Android smartphones before their originals get Eclair 2.1, thereby tempting consumers to trade up.
