Samsung’s original Moment still runs prehistoric Android 1.5 Cupcake (which stopped being sweet a long time ago), but the sequel could be on Sprint’s roster soon.
That Samsung is making version 2 could be bad news for Moment owners. This may be a sign that their smartphone will never be updated with newer software, yet, on the other hand, Samsung might be using similar firmwares for both handsets (WAA says that the 2 has close specs to the first), and a 2.1 upgrade for the original could be released along with the Moment 2. These manufacturers must support their pricey smartphones if they want to maintain consumer trust. Do not leave early adopters without a paddle out of the Cupcake doldrums.
