Telus Milestone: Motorola Reiterates Canadian Android 2.1 Promise

Americans with the Motorola Droid have been reveling in their Android 2.1 updates, but up north, Canadians, who just recently got their Telus Milestone, will have to wait a bit longer for their turn at Google’s latest smartphone OS.

On its official Facebook page, Motorola Canada has written the following notice:

A lot of you are asking about the upgrade from 2.0 to 2.1. Ultimately, we want to ensure you have the best possible experience on your device; as a result, the rollout is taking longer than expected. Though we don’t have the new deployment date to share just yet, we do promise we are working to get you updated informat…ion and will let you know as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience. We appreciate it!

I suppose late is better than never, but the Milestone is a flagship smartphone, so it was always going to receive 2.1.
