AdMob has published some interesting statistics. While females comprise roughly 42-46% of Palm and iPhone users, they make up only 26% of Android operators…

iPhone owners run the gamut from very young to 55 and older (14%), while a majority of Android users are between 18 to 54.

Not surprisingly, the iPhone and Android have overwhelmingly satisfied customers, whereas webOS clients are conspicuously less likely to recommend the product to others.

Anther finding is that users who purchase at least 1 paid app a month break down as follows: 21% Android, 24% webOS, 50% iPhone. Apple’s App Store is a cash cow. It is high time for Android manufacturers to begin catering to women. More attractive designs would surely help increase feminine interest.
