One of the most highly anticipated smartphones yet to be confirmed is the HTC Supersonic, which for sometime, has been rumored to be a 4G phone. Since Sprint has just stated that it will have a 4G smartphone by this summer, it stands to reason that the Supersonic is the very device in the works.

Sprint’s 4G WiMax network now covers over 30 million Americans in 27 segments of the nation, but by 2011, more than 120 million US citizens will have access to this premium service. Sprint had earlier announced that a 4G smartphone was due at the end of this year, but the planned launch has been moved up to summer. The advantage of 4G is that it is capable of 10 times the bandwidth of 3G.

Spy-shots of the HTC Supersonic has been circulating for many weeks. I am dying to find out how much this phone, along with a 4G data plan will cost.
