
The Beam was first leaked as the “Halo i8520,” but Samsung officially calls it the “Beam,” the world’s first Android smartphone with a built-in DLP projector.
At least the specs rumored were correct even if the Beam’s real title were not. I imagine that the Beam could be really useful for presentations, but its projections are not terribly pretty. So far, they look downright hideous and gimmicky. Samsung seems to be covering mostly the higher end of the Android market with its offerings so far (M100S). I am keen to see what mid-range models the company has in store.
