Formerly known as the “Bravo,” the Desire was publicly demonstrated by HTC, and it is a wonder. Technically almost identical to the Nexus One, the Desire, with its 3.7″ AMOLED (800 x480) display and 1GHz Snapdragon processor will be available in Europe around Q2.

The Desire will be HTC’s flagship product until the Supersonic/Incredible, and with the highest of specs, it will not be outdone by anything. Unlike the Nexus One, the Desire is coming with multi-touch and Flash Lite installed. All of the numbers rumored for the Bravo have remained identical:
- 3.7″ AMOLED WVGA
- Qualcomm QSD 8250 1GHz
- 512Mb ROM, 256Mb RAM
- 5MP Camera with Auto Focus and Flash
- WCDMA/HSPA: 900/2100MHz
- GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900MHz
- 1400 mAh Battery
- microSD with 16Gb Card Included, Wireless b/g, Bluetooth 2.1, aGPS, FM Radio, 3.5mm Headphone Jack
- 112 x 56 x 11.7mm
I wonder why HTC has chosen not to put the Desire in a unibody case like the intoxicating Legend. An aluminum Desire would just be absolutely unbeatable…until something better comes along (obvious tautology).
