Acer’s Liquid has been a smash hit overseas. With Mobile World Congress (MWC) less than a week away (15th), Acer is gearing to announce a bunch of new smartphones. The E110 is an Android 2.0 unit that is rumored to be shown at MWC.

By now, most people are probably a bit dizzy with all the new Android handsets coming out, but more devices should lower prices and expand options for consumers. Acer’s E110 is supposed to be Android 2.0 with AGPS, Bluetooth, and GSM Quad band ( 850, 900, 1800, 1900 ), GPRS ( Class 12 ) , EGPRS ( Class 12 ) , UMTS ( Band I & VIII or Band II & V ).

Expect the E110 to be available worldwide. I am begging manufacturers to give their products proper names. Please stop with the BMW/Mercedes alpha-numerical naming schemes.
