I would like to see Apple try to censor “Android” during the Superbowl ad blitz. Although Google’s mysterious television commercial, which is expected to air “in the 3rd quarter” tomorrow might not be for Android or the Nexus One, Eric Schmidt is excited.
Google’s CEO Tweats, “Can’t wait to watch the Superbowl tomorrow. Be sure to watch the ads in the 3rd quarter (someone said “Hell has indeed frozen over.”)”
Schmidt’s “Hell” having “frozen over” reference has to do with his previous stance that Google did not need to do brand advertising. This upcoming commercial may not be a Google product per se though since Motorola is the only Android related company listed for a 3rd quarter Superbowl spot. The commercial will likely be for Motorola Android smartphones.
