This photo, alleged to be the promotional (not retail) box for the Motorola Devour, surfaced a few days ago. The rumors are that the Verizon bound smartphone will be blessed with some eye-catching specs but only Android 1.6 Donut.

Excepting the OS, the Devour is tempting, with its rumored MSM7627 CPU that has two cores, a graphics chip running at 200 MHz. This model represents Motorola’s mid-range offering in its American line-up and should retail for much lower than the Droid.

- 3.1″ HVGA LCD
- 600 MHz Qualcomm MSM7627
- 512 MB flash ROM, 256 MB RAM
- 3 MP Camera
- Slide-out QWERTY keypad
- Android 1.6 with Motoblur
- 3.5mm Jack, GPS, Wi-Fi, microSD

Motorola has pulled its Devour support page that was online for a brief period.
