Dell Mini 5: Michael Dell Shows It Off

Dell’s tardy entrance to the Android parade has not gone unnoticed. Rumored for sometime, the Mini 5 tablet “will be out in a couple of months,” says Michael Dell, as he demos the device in the frigorific winter air.

Mr. Dell was tight-lipped about the Mini 5’s full specs but did reveal that it has a 5MP camera and 3G (duh!). The secrecy surrounding this handheld is probably because final specs have not been finalized. Dell might have been aiming to outdo whatever Apple iPad was coming out and the plethora of Android tablets due this year. With its unconventional 5″ screen and full multi-touch, the Mini 5 could be special, or it might be overshadowed by much larger tablets from MSI.
