My favorite web browser, Mozilla’s Firefox is arriving next month for Android. German website Camp-firefox writes that a beta version of Firefox, Fennec, is nearly complete.
At a “Labs Night” meeting on the 26th, Jay Sullivan, vice president of Mozilla, spoke about his company’s mobile strategy for 2010. Currently, Firefox is available for Windows Mobile (alpha 1), but Mozilla is seeking to expand its smartphone user base. No word has been issued regarding the iPhone, or how Mozilla will distribute its free browser to the Android platform.
UPDATE: Mozilla has officially confirmed Firefox for Android, but it is not in alpha phase yet, so a release later this year is likely: Techie-Buzz
