What happens when a really well made and superior product is released, and no one buys it? Based on the number of unboxing videos for the Nexus One, I assume that every unit sold has had its unboxing recorded and then uploaded to YouTube. From Patrick Boivin comes the most wicked and creative unboxing of any smartphone. My only question is, what took him so long?

Well, there are several dozen Nexus Ones being sold for well over retail price on eBay because there are always shrewd opportunists ready to sell to internationals who cannot wait for certain gear to be available in their country. These “eBay Ones” are not getting unboxing videos anytime soon.

If I could get a Nexus One at Google’s asking price, I would. Just knowing that I will be receiving Android software updates directly from Google’s dev team might be worth the asking price in itself, but that OLED screen is sexy too.
