HTC-Columbia Cycling Team Voted Best in the World

As another effort to raise brand awareness, HTC began sponsoring Team HTC-Columbia on July 4th to begin the 2009 Tour de France. Formerly “Columbia-Highroad,” this cycling squad is comprised of female and male cyclists from over 20 nations. Since 2007, the team has been the winningest in professional cycling, amassing 153 podium finishes in 2008 and 132 victories the following year.

Cyclingnews.com awarded HTC-Columbia with “The Best Team of 2009″ accolade. Since cycling is an international sporting event, team HTC-Columbia could probably use HTC’s smartphones to keep in touch with each other. I think that with a GSM phone, the riders will encounter few problems with prepaid cards wherever they are competing.
